Unlike other home sperm analysis tests on the market, Micra is a complete sperm screening system that allows you to analyze and interpret your own results with a special microscope and interpretation guide. Good product

Good instructions, easy to use. The only thing to be aware of is that even though there's a specific strip attached to the microscope that says that it's focused prior to shipping (basically saying "don't touch it, it's in focus), we saw nothing at all until we changed the focus and THEN we saw the little swimmers....
Good product overall, would recommend to anyone.

My husband and I bought this item to see if his sperm were up to par as our first step in discovering what is causing our difficulties getting pregnant. Happy to say that this product works great. It took some time to get the microscope to focus but once we did, there they were! And it's obvious that his sperm are not the issue as far as we could tell. Very useful tool and my husband is happy he doesn't need to see a doctor now. :)

Effective and easy to use

My husband and I bought this product to see if his "little swimmers" were up to par because we have been TTC for about 7 months now with no luck. It is fairly easy to use and it is fun to be a scientist for a day too. The only thing that we found challenging is after testing for volume (the 1st test) the sample is very bubbly even after allowing it to sit for quite some time. I would perhaps test the volume last next time. Just be sure to add the mml you remove to test the count when you are testing the volume. Even once the microscope is focused in the sperm are still very small so be patient and really focus your eye and you will see them. Good luck and I hope this helps you like it helped us. My Hubbys count is a little low but we bought the Fertilaide and hopefully we have the same results as others have had.

First of all the scope was not focused out of the box as others have mentioned. Don't worry about the time it takes to focus on your first test they will still be swimming when you get it right (I left the slide in and they were swimming around even after 45 minutes). It helps to focus out first then slowly move in toward the slide. With focus all the way down you will see a bunch of little lines that are not moving (these are not sperm but the slide itself so don't think you have 0% motility). There is also a position that will have the cover in focus and again little lines that are not moving. Once you have it focused in between the slide base and cover it is truly amazing to watch.

Pros:

-Easy to use, even with the focusing less than 5min or so
-peace of mind and the option to monitor over time
-Comes stocked with extras.
-The slides can be cleaned and reused and there are plenty of slide covers.

Cons:

none.

Very easy to use. Gave us the answer we were looking for in minutes. Just make sure you have the focus adjusted properly. My husband thought all his sperm were "dead" because he didn't focus it enough, and was probably looking at dust particles or something! lol...luckily they weren't!!! Saved us an expensive trip to the dr's office

This test was easy to use, in my opinion, and I echo other's statements about how fun it actually was to use (after the sample was taken). I believe the test proves that my husband does not have any problems.
The directions were clear and easy to follow.
I definitely recommend this product to any ttc couple.

my wife and i have decided to start having kids. so as a precaution, i wanted to order a microscope to see if i was healthy with swimmers. got one from toys r us.... nothing. not a swimmer in sight. mad and fustrated, i decided to order one made for this reason. a last ditch effort before i went to a doctor. and bang!!! there they were. although the count was low, i was happy to see them there. count can b worked on. the one from toys r us scared me half to death! but i thank god that i ordered this one. gave my wife and i hope for our future children.

My husband and I bought this because he was diagnosed with Azoospermia (no sperm) last year after two semen analysis came back with zero counts. It was very difficult to take the news and we didn't really want to believe it. With that being said I purchased this item in hopes to find that one miracle to give us hope. Unfortunately we didn't find what we were hoping for but the product worked great just like it said and we could see other little air pockets and such in the semen so we know we had the right focus. I def. recommend this product.

I wish you could swing the microscope out of the way when placing the slides because unless you wind it up pretty high it tends to get in the way. not to mention it comes prefocused but is pointless because you have to unfocus it to place the slides otherwise you end up with semen all over the microscope lens. Yuck! lol!

I got Micra fertilityc checkup on Amazon, it was 79 $ and free shippment plus 10 free HPT. well i was so happy with this product, i have did test on my DHs sperm and it was grate, alsow i dod postcoital test with it to, i took a little bit of my CM 30 minutes after the sex, and put in under the microscope and i was so happy to see that my DHs sperm was moving so fast inmy CM, and i did not even have EWCM , but we use PREE-SEED. I saw lots of sperm cells and they where very fast and moving in a staght directions, so now i know my DHs sperm is good and my CM is not hostile to the little guys.
Thank you very much for the grate product.

My husband and I have been TTC for 8 months and we figured it was time for him to check his "swimmers." He provided a sample and when we looked under the microscope we saw that there were plenty of sperm present.. the problem is that not ONE of them were moving. So we figured the problem is low-to-no motility. Had we bought a cheaper, less advanced test, it would have said that he had a normal sperm COUNT and we would have ruled him out as an issue in our ttc journey. I called my ob-gyn and told her we took the test and were worried about motility, she gave us a referral to have a professional semen analysis done and now we are one step closer to figuring out why we have not conceived yet.
Don't hesitate! This test is worth the price. You will either have piece of mind afterwards, or answers to your questions.

For me, it was hard to find the sperm. I spent hours turning and twisting to get focused in on them... If you are having problems, do not give up and focus in slow, take breaks if your eyes strain, and then come back. I think the top silver eye piece turns as well as the tube... maybe it was easier for others... It was a great experience to see those sperm, wow!

This is a really awesome product. It's really cool to see the little guys, i wasn't expecting so many, moving so rapidly. It's just a really cool thing to see and definitely gives confidence in knowing what's going on.

Takes a little while to focus, be patient, if it isn't focused right you won't see anything. So don't get concerned if you don't see anything right away.

We had fun with this test.

I was a bit skeptical after reading some of the reviews but went ahead and ordered Micra. I was able to confirm all three things it claims to measure- all positive. It is not hard to focus at all but one needs to remove the piece of paper protecting the battery so the light comes on. The instructions say to push it to "on" but that does not work. I pull it out and put it back when done.

Also the liquid provided for the tests is too little if one needs to use this for monitoring fertility improvement.

Cons:

Should really improve the on/off switch

We just used this to check on things after struggling with some motility issues. We were going to have to schedule another analysis at the lab but thanks to this we were able to find out everything at home. It was very easy to use with simple directions and clear images. Very easy focusing. I would highly recommend this product.

My husband and I have been TTC for 4 months now, so we weren't really ready for him to go get tested by a doctor yet, but we were very curious still if everything was okay with him. We had to read the directions probably 3 or 4 times before we really understood exactly what to do because they were clearly writen by someone whose first language was not english. Once we figured it out, it only took a few minutes to get everything set up and it was SO COOL to use the microscope. The first test is just taking a drop and placing it on a slide to review motility. It took us a few minutes to get the microscope adjusted correctly to see them, so don't give up too soon because it might take some fine tuning :) Once we could see them it was pretty amazing! I felt like we were back in science class! The directions say that if half of them on the screen are moving and a quarter are moving straight, that means motility is good. The second test uses a drop that you place into a little bottle of liquid that is provided to dilute and then a drop of that goes on another slide. There are far less of them on the microscope now and it gives you the ability to see them easier and to count them. I have already told my other TTC friends about this because the test was just really neat and we felt good being able to confirm that things are probably okay based on what we saw. There are two tests in the kit... definitely worth the money because the cheaper at home sperm test this site sells didn't work at all for us.

Me and my husband we were trying to conceive for a year but due to his low sperm count (from 800.000- 3 millions) this was really hard. As a biologist working in a fertility clinic I decided that I wanted to exhaust all the chances before IVF, so I started doing a research about improving the sperm number with natural ways. This is how I came across FertilAid for men. My husband wasn’t sure but he decided to try it along with a vitamin C supplement.
