A Profile of the "Typical" Trying-to-Conceive Woman:
Results of the Early-Pregnancy-Tests.com Survey
Just who is the "typical" trying-to-conceive woman? How old is she? How long has she been trying to achieve pregnancy? What steps is she taking to help increase her odds of conceiving…?
While we can't answer the above questions for all women, we do now have a much greater understanding of the "typical" trying-to-conceive woman who visits the Early-Pregnancy-Tests.com website.
First, a bit of background regarding the survey: Our website, Early-Pregnancy-Tests.com, caters almost exclusively to trying-to-conceive couples. Our customers are almost all female (over 90%). In addition to pregnancy and ovulation tests, we carry a broad array of fertility monitors, natural fertility supplements, male fertility tests, sperm friendly lubricants, etc.
Because we're in the unique position of being in contact with so many trying-to-conceive individuals, we thought it would be fascinating to take the pulse of our site visitors in the form of a quick survey. No incentive was offered for their participation. The invitation to take the survey was extended by means of:
- An announcement on the Early-Pregnancy-Tests Facebook page; and
- A mention in our monthly email newsletter.
Within a period of 10 days, we received over 600 respondents (620 in total). The questions and survey results are as follows:
1. How old are you?
