I had heard about this stuff before, but left it alone because my other half is severely against getting "help" for TTC. Still, to keep myself sane I often do what I call "TTC Research" and I found that saliva is a sperm killer. Hubby had mentioned needing lube ANYWAYS, so I thought this was the perfect thing to bring up. After explaining to him all I found out, he was completely on-board, and if it doesn't work in the next few months, he's even agreed to try your FertilAid for Men! This stuff came within 3-4 days, and we used it that night with great results! Its the perfect consistency- but it does dry up a little too fast for our tastes. So I thought I would give it a try with the lubricant and both my husband and I love it. Didn't even have to use much and it stayed lubricated for the whole time. Anyways, soooo excited when I got it... HOWEVER, after using it- ICK! First of all, it dries out really fast and becomes "sticky"... First time we used it, I ended up with a yeast infection. Not associating it with the yeast infection, we used it a second time a couple of weeks later- OMG! I have never been in so much pain in my life!!! It caused a major irritation, I was itching, burning, and my skin was super dry and splitting (yes my skin down there) for over a week (not a yeast infection, almost more like a chemical burn is what I would call it)!!! I (personally) will NEVER use this again... I've never had any reaction like this before to any other lubrication. :( I have done some more reading up and have found that I am not the only one that has had this problem...apparently if your PH is already ok, and you use this, it can really throw it for a loop... on top of all that- not pregnant... I was happy with the switch from ky to pre. However, it says if you have not become pregnant after 6 months of using it you should contact your doc. I think that is misleading. It almost guarantees that if you are using it you will get pregnant within 6 months. It also can make you think that if you are not preggers in 6 months that there is a problem and that does not have to be the case. They added a good amount of the "larch tree extract" (aka arabinogalactan - which protects sperm and can help them survive way past normal times, and even helps protect their DNA). I once heard that regular pre-seed had more of this extract but was recently told that they decided to add more to the regular "pre". If you would like to read the blog on this, it's really interesting, there's so much info - the woman who invented it (dr. "E") has done a lot of research on sperm and conception.
