Ovulation predictor tests work by allowing you to detect your monthly LH Surge - the sudden and dramatic increase in luteinizing hormone present in your urine just before you ovulate. LH is the hormone that facilitates ovulation (the release of the egg). When you detect your LH surge with an ovulation test, it is the optimal time for you to try to conceive.
Since the best time for fertilization of the egg to occur is within 6 to 24 hours after you ovulate, correctly gauging your body's cycle is extremely helpful in increasing your chances of becoming pregnant. Our ovulation tests detect LH with a sensitivity of 25 mIU/ml. All tests are individually sealed in a foil pouch with an expiry date of approximately 2 years from your purchase date.

For the women that have been using these and are not seeing a positive with them, have you been to your GYN or RE yet because you may not be ovulating. Works good but I have never gotten a line darker than the control line. So basically any line other than the control line is a positive. I usually get two positives, two days in a row - the second one being darker than the first one, but neither darker than the control line. I still order and use them keeping this in mind. |

These strips were very easy to read. My cycles are very irregular 33-40 days so I was not sure when I was ovulating. The first month I used them, I started testing, I think it was 16 day from my first day of my cycle. like the paper said and never got a true positive. The second day CBE showed positive and there was an Extremely faint line on the test strip. As a doctor, I found this website and product when I was trying to find lower cost ovulation prediction tests (instead of the 10$ a stick units at the big box store pharmacies) for my patients.Of course, the scientist part of me had to check them out. As long as you're comfy peeing into a disposable cup and can follow the very simple directions, you'll be fine. The cost savings is great--you'll likely need 5-7 tests in a cycle and the more expensive tests, using the same technology, can add up quickly.Most importantly, they work. In fact, I learned that I actually ovulate about 3 days later than the textbooks say I should. I love the ovulation test strip it's my first time using this brand and I would never go back to the other brands. The reason why I love it is because when I start to test myself I can tell when I'm starting to get close to my ovulation day. Each day that pass by the darker the test get and the day of ovulation is the day that the strip is it's darkest. Take the test 2 times per day! (I did around 12PM and 6PM.) The day before +, there were 2 lines, one about half as dark as the test line. The + day one line was almost as dark at 12PM, then faint at 5PM. I wouldn't bank on it being as dark or darker. If its close its +. Especially if you drink a lot of water. |

The next cycle I decided to pull out all the stops and bought a cbe fertility monitor, bbt charting, mucous tracking and for some reason decided to cont w/ opk testing. I am so glad I did. The cbe monitor tests early morning (first urine) and the opks are for the afternoon to catch the lh surge asap. Well the cbe has shown me 'high' since cd 7 and has not gone to 'peak' yet. But the opk was + yesterday on cd 20. Again this morning the cbe was just high. I would have totally missed my shot if not for these! Super easy to use and cheap. I tested at 11:00 a.m. and got a negative, I tested again at 4:00 p.m. and got a positive and another positive at 8:00 p.m.. I followed the directions and began testing on day 11. The second line appeared, but was not dark at all, but we were still going to try just in case. I tested the next day and the line was still not darker than the control line (a little darker than the day before but definitely not darker than the control line). I ended up taking another test the next day and the line was almost completely gone but us being the "active" couple that we are, we still gave it a shot! I honestly thought that maybe I wasn't ovulating that month, but then found out I was because now I am 4 weeks and 4 days pregnant! I guess if there is a line just try and maybe something will come of it-it sure did for us :-) |

I found this site after I started using First Response Ovulation Tests- I decided to order some and compare while I was still using the First Response brand. The First Response brand showed a build up to & my LH surge (with no mistake.. that was a positive for sure)... at the same time, I was using the tests from this site... nothing, nadda, zip... at all. Expensive as they are, I will be sticking with First Response. |

The first month I used this product, I ovulated. Two weeks later, I found out I was pregnant with my first child. Before I bought this product, I read all the reviews and that is what sold me on it. I will use this product again the next time we are TTC. I ovulated a week later than I thought I would, so I was testing twice a day everyday. Like I said this was our first time to try and I wanted to make sure we did it during the right times. Be sure to follow the directions carefully because I didn't wait long enough and thought I might have missed my window, but I didn't. I have recommended this product to everyone. It is great. |

I started using these "stupid strips" about 6-8 months ago and could not get a positive result for anything! The test line would get darker during the month but still only about 1/2 the shade of the control line. I thought it was due to the strips not working. Come to find out, after consulting my doctor, I found out that I have Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS), which means that I don't ovulate normally, only about once every 3-5 months. My doctor put me on Clomid to "trick" my body into ovulating and after adjusting the dosage the lab test showed I ovulated on the 2nd month but not pregnant. So I pulled the strips back out and figured, what the heck, what do I have to loose?! So I started testing again at home to try and find my exact ovulatioin date. There it was, on day 17 of the 3 month on Clomid, I got a positive result (a positive result was more than obvious. I think my line was darker than the control)!! So I read the directions (which were included in the pack and that I had printed off the companies web-site like it told me to do- http://www.early-pregnancy-tests.com/inovtesstrip.html) to have intercourse after 24 hours of testing positive but before 48 hours. So today, day 32 of my cycle, I took a test (actually 2 tests) and PREGNANT! Without these strips we may have missed our window of opportunity! I wish everyone the best and hope you get the same great results I did! I will NEVER call these strips "stupid" again and will be buying more in the future if we decide to have a second child. 100% recommended! If you don't get a positive result, you might want to consult your doctor to do lab work to make sure you're ovulating. Don't automatically assume the strips don't work because they do! |

This is a really fabulous product - I was ovulating 2-3 days later than what I thought - so had been 'trying' at the wrong times for 3 months or so and then I stumbled across this site and was blown away by the reviews I read. i was not sure though - but thought i would give it a try - I got a faint second line always though and it got darker as my ovulation dat approached and then on CD17 I got a line as dark as the cotrol line and the next day I tested just to be sure and the second line was lighter again. So it caught my surge beautifully - we did out thing for the next 2-3 days and I a happy to say that I a pregnant now - this is the first month that I am using this product - it helped me to catch my ovulation - and God has blessed :-) Good luck to all those trying out there. |

I have long cycles, as well (over 40 days!) so figuring out when I ovulate was impossible. After a few months of guessing-incorrectly- a friend suggested these strips. After just 2 cycles of using them, i'm 5 weeks pregnant. The trick was using them from day 10 to day 30 to find my peak day. I never would have known to make time for 'business' without them. I have been charting only for 2 months now...I used these stirps my last 2 cycles and the 1st day of detection in the morning i get a light positive. so...I suggest that you test at least 2 times a day. Once in the morning and once at night. My night test came to be a clear positive. I used them agian this cycle and they worked GREAT. They are in expensive and a great help in detecting the LH surge and when I ovulate! We tried this month and hopefully in a few days I will be writing a review for the early pregnancy test strips! I had a miscarriage on Sep18th and then had what I thought was two periods. With these tests I was able to tell that the first two cycles after MC I wasn't ovulating. On Nov. 1 I got my period and on Nov. 17 I got a positive tedt. So I ovulated a little later on day 17 or 18. Anyways, I am now over 6 weeks pregnant and am looking forward to baby number 4. I am so glad for these strips because I was able to figure out when I started ovulationg after my MC. These tests are a MUST for anyone trying to concieve. I have been using the ClearBlue Easy Fertility Monitor for the last 6 months without any luck getting pregnant. My first month of trying I used the Rite Aid brand pee on sticks. I began testing the 12th day of my cycle and never got a + and also did not get pregnant. I have been a consumer for my first child, my last (ended in a miscarriage) and hopefully my next. The ovulation test did predict my surge but I wanted to add a "disclaimer" of sorts. I have been using the strips for 9 months now and have yet to have a test strip be darker than the control strip. I have very regular periods and while the test strip only shows up probably when my surge is happening it is much lighter than the control strip. I just wanted to add an addendum to the package insert. While it is a terrific product esp for the cost, if the control strip seems darker than the test strip, you might still be experiencing a :surge". |

We had been TTC for 5 months and purchasing the OPK from the store where your get 7 tests for around $15.00. I ordered these two months ago and today we are pregnant!! I read on another comment that you need to use any OPT more than once a day because it is easy to miss the high surge when the line turns as dark as the control line. I did just that and then some...when it was starting to turn I used them each time I went to the bathroom and I finally got the as dark as line. (With these tests being so cheap I did not feel bad using them as often.) I know that if I would not have used the test at that time that I would have missed it. Also remember that after you get that dark line that you need to do your thing 24-36 hours after the surge had been detected. Good Luck! |

I have been meaning to write a review here ever since I saw my first pink line 6 months ago. I purchased the strips in a kit with the pregnancy tests also. I thought the test strips were easy to use once you learn what shade the colored band will be. Financially, this is the best option around! I needed the strips because I have a long cycle- 38-40 days. Between this, tracking and taking my BBT daily I was able to get pregnant in about 4 months which is great considering each cycle is like 40 days for me. Also used the pregnancy test and found it very reliable. The first line I got was very faint but I made sure to keep testing and sure enough I was not "seeing things-" I was really pregnant.I would recommend these to anyone. Good Luck to all. |

Ordered and recieved within a week A+ for delivery....We have been trying for over a year and un-aware of my ovulation, and trying to concieve I came across this web site and read the reviews and decied to order I thought maybe I wasnt even ovulating. I ordered 100 OTS not knowing what I would need and I started testing EVERYDAY @ 11am 2pm & 6pm on day 15 of my cycle I got a positve @ my 11am & 2pm by 6pm it was gone. Contined to test 3xs a day and AGAIN..!!! YES AGAIN..!!! on day 17 of my cycle I got another 11am positive and 2 & 6pm also positve..I decided to order the prenancy test also and again A+ for delivery got them in 3 days...I have not tested yet for pregnancy but were are crossing our fingers. But when we decided to try again and i ordered these strips inorder to pinpoint my best two days out of my irregular cycle. And to our surprise we again got pregnant the very first month of trying. I am on my second month of trying to get pregnant and before I found this site I was buying over the counter at Walmart (7 strips for $12.00) and on the first month I used 2 boxes and never found my surge and I was using first morning urine only. Immediately, I thought there has to be a less expensive way of doing this and Thank God I found this wonderful site. I read all the reviews so this time I knew what I was doing..and ordered 50 test strips (arrived in 5 days). I started testing on day 11 and on day 18 I found my surge. Keep testing if the line isn't as dark or darker..because the day before my actual surge the line was a little dark (enough to get me excited) but the next day (12pm noon) the test line was definitely darker than the reference line and again at 6pm. My surge lasted for 24 hrs. I was testing 2-3 times a day 10am or 12pm, 5pm, and before bedtime. Good luck to all of you and keep testing until you find your surge and trust me the line does get really really dark!! So helpful! I have irregular periods. The last 2 months they were 37 and 41 days apart with spotting in-between. I had no idea when I was ovulating. I used these strips the first month and stopped when I started spotting. Then later went on the have a period. This month, I kept testing even through the spotting and a few days later got a positive ovulation test. I am now pregnant! My advice is this...if you are wondering and you think you MIGHT have a positive ovulation test, you do not. When I was, I KNEW it immediately. I just wanted to give an update on this product. They work 100%...the test line was much darker than the reference line and my surge lasted up to 24 hrs. I tested twice a day...anywhere between 10am-12pm (noon) and then again at 6pm and sometimes right before bedtime. I caught my surge at 12noon and let me tell you that line was so dark it was almost purple..:) I was using over the counter at Walmart (first morning urine) and never caught my surge. Do not use your first morning urine....wait until at least 10am (and do not drink anything beforehand). They worked for me the very first month. The day before my surge I did get a very noticeable faint line, but you will know the actual surge...the color is extremely dark and very noticeable..do not settle for the semi dark faint line. I got my surge on day 18!! Good luck and keep testing and trust me...they DO work. I haven't tested for pregnancy yet...still too early:) |

i got a 10 of these because they were the cheapest, every time i tested, the test line never got as dark as the control line. it was that same faint line every time i tested. i used clear blue ovulation predictor kit - and the day i got a dark line (darker than the control line) - i used this ovulation test strip -and yup again the same faint line. no changes at all. i would not recommend this product. but clear blue product instead. this product will frustrate you. the pregnancy test strips, however, are good. but that's different because a faint line means you're pregnant. with the ovulation strips, there's always LH in your body, it just surges before you ovulate. but having that faint line every time i test, very frustrating. |

well I was going to buy this product after these reviews and then I noticed there are too many positive feedback and they all said that they became pregnant. These 5 star ratings creep me out. It makes me think that the admins post them. haha. I went around and search for people who used these product and just a few a found and they all said they have never gotten any positive in weeks. Whenever a low score and it's about doesn't work at all. This is my first time using these strips. I usually use the Answer brand strips and decided to try these since I had ordered some Pre-Seed. The test lines were SO light up until CD18 so I decided to go back to the Answer Brand tests and immediately got a blazing positive. Using the same sample I took one Answer and one of the online tests and again I got a blazing positive with Answer and light pink on these tests. If I had not purchased the Answer tests and been charting my temps, I would have missed my surge all together. The delivery is great and the price is great as well but I am not sure if it would be worth it if all you relied on were these tests. |

I thought I'd try these since I have such a long cycle and never can be sure when I'm ovulating. Using the Clear Blue Easy ones with the smiley face - which I love - was just out of the question cost-wise. But to be sure, I tested my first order side-by-side with the other brand and they worked perfectly. I find them easy to use and read. I got pregnant on my first cycle using these, went on to MC and didn't conceive last cycle, so I am ordering again. I am glad that I have these so I can afford to test 30 days a cycle and not miss my ovulation window! The free shipping to Canada also worked great! |

|  Test Strip or Midstream Format?
It’s a question we hear from customers all the time: what’s the difference between ovulation test strips and ovulation midstream tests?
First, let’s look at the similarities: both styles of test measure urine levels of luteinizing hormone (LH) to determine when ovulation will occur. They’re equally sensitive at 25 miu/ml LH, and they’re equally accurate at 99.9%.
The difference in the two formats lies in the way the tests are used. With a test strip, you dip the test in a collected sample of urine; with a midstream test, the test stick is held right in the urine stream.
In short, it really boils down to a matter of personal preference. Both test types have a dedicated following, though we do sell more of the test strip format than we do midstream tests.
