Luteinizing hormone in elevated quantities causes ovulation. During the menstrual cycle only a small amount of LH is made, but in the middle of the cycle LH briefly increases. This increase is called the "LH surge" and precedes ovulation. Conception is most likely to occur within thirty-six hours following the LH surge. The Midstream Urine LH Ovulation Test is specifically designed to detect your LH surge - the time when you are likely to ovulate.

To use, simply remove the cap and urinate directly onto the absorbent tip for several seconds. Replace the cap and in just five minutes you will have accurate results that will help you predict ovulation and the best time to conceive. Pretty good

It is great to be able to get these at such a discount. It allows me to use more than one a day. Around the time of ovulation I test in the morning and in the evening and I would find it difficult to justify this paying store prices. Generally I have found them pretty reliable although in the last batch I had quite a few that didn't work (the test line didn't come up). I went to the store and bought a brand to be sure and these worked fine. Having said that the majority did work but now I have a standby pack just in case.

I have been using the midstream ovulation test for a few months now and I am also one of those women who can feel ovulation. The mid stream test has been spot on everytime. It tells me I will ovulate in the next 24-36 hours and I feel it everytime!

I knew about when I ovulated, but I only knew for certain after the fact. And after 6 months of TTC and 2 months of TTC while charting, I decided to try these OPK's. I researched them quite a bit before buying so I knew how to use them and interpret the results. My cycle is about 28 days and I began testing on day 11. In my research I learned that a surge can come and go in less than 24 hrs so I tested twice a day; once mid-day and once in the late afternoon to make sure I didn't miss it. I used 7 OPKs before getting a clear positive result the morning of the fourth day; CD 14. The test line was noticeably darker than the control line. It was great knowing I was about to ovulate so we could time intercourse effectively. I'm happy to say we conceived that first cycle.

When I first used these tests I was frustrated because I felt that I could not tell 100% whether it was a positive or negative. However, when I finally got a TRUE positive test, there was no doubt in my mind that it was positive! Now I am 11 and 1/2 weeks pregnant because of the accuracy of this test! Being a person with PCOS and having difficulty knowing when I ovulate, I would highly recommend using this test to help you know when your best chances are to conceive.

Cons:

I would rather the read out be a bit simpler. Ie.- One line if it's negative, two lines if it's positive. It would just be easier.

I used these to find out when the heck I might be ovulating since I have always had very irregular cycles (sometimes lasting 30 days, others 50 days!). I started using one a night at fourteen days after the first day of my last period. On the 19th day, I saw a very faint line that got darker on the 20th day and even darker on the 21st. On the 22nd day, I decided to use two, one in the morning and one in the evening. The morning test line was dark (but still not positive) and the evening test was faint again. I had missed the positive, so if you really need to see a positive then I recommend using two a day after you see your first faint line. However, I (correctly) assumed that I had ovulated sometime between my tests on the 21st and 22nd day. We had been doing more of "the deed" as soon as I saw my first faint line and through the 22nd day, and lo and behold, I got a positive pregnancy test (from Early-Pregnancy-Tests.com as well) eleven days later (on the 33rd day)!! We are so happy! Thank you, thank you Early-Pregnancy-Tests.com!!

We used these test strips to conceive our 2nd child. We did not have problems conceiving our first child but being 5 years older I was paranoid. The first month of use I didn't start testing early enough....apparently I'm one of those odd people that ovulates at 10 days instead of the typical 14 so we did not get pregnant. The 2nd month I started testing slightly early and got easy to read results that resulted in a positive pregnancy test! Our ultrasound due date corresponded exactly to the ovulation date predicted by the tests!

I found this product is cheap & easy to use. I strongly recommend that even if the result is light red or very close to the test line, just use it as guideline. I have been using this product for more than 3 months but I have not receive a possitive result yet. I have PCOS so it is difficult to determine the accuracy of this test. Still it is much cheaper than those sell at Drug Store.

I don't have much faith in these tests - I had purchased an ovulation kit prior to purchasing these tests, and they worked quite well. However with these tests, apparently I never ovulated. They seem very inaccurate and unfortunately I don't have a lot of faith in them.

I really like how easy these are to use. I can't express enough how much I hate using a cup and cleaning it every day. HOWEVER, I have had to throw out at least 7 because they didn't work. I used them and the control line never even appeared.

I ordered these after reading some of the issues other people had with ClearBlue Easy. I used CBE for the past 2 months and still not pregnant. I must say that this past month I was impressed because these showed ovulation one day earlier than CBE. I did get a faint line every day but when it was time (and as others have said) you can definitely tell when it's positive. I do not know any results yet so hopefully we will be pregnant soon! Pretty affordable OPK

Night before, I got two lines using Clear Blue OPK, but day after, I got the test again using this product before heading to my OB-Gyn. I still got two lines, but it took a while. It only took 2 mins with Clear Blue, but with this one, it took 10 mins.

Used until I received 2 sold lines, test was as dark as control. However, recently found I have underactive thyroid, so OB told me that results could not be trusted since thyroid is throwing off my hormones. :( She advise to no longer use until thryoid medicaiton regulates and then go from there.

These are very easy to use and easy to read when you are close to ovulating. I believe I just ovulated (had pain in my lower left abdomin) - the test the day before showed the two lines as the same color and darkness, and the day I ovulated, the test line was extremely darker than the control. Now, we just have to wait and see!

I ordered 20 tests thinking it will probably take a few tries before it worked. I only had to use 4 tests. I have a 28 day cycle and I'm very regular so I began testing on day 11 and by day 14 I showed a surge. The lines were very clear and easy to read. I took the test at the same time everyday, 5:30 in the evening. I'm now 6 weeks pregnant.

The ovulation test worked as described. I learned that I ovulated four days prior to my menstrual cycle, which is an indicator of a medical problem. So, I am making an appointment to be seen. I appreciated having lots of these on hand at a reasonable price so that I could continuing testing until ovulation occurred.

I've been TTC for over a year, using various OPTs, but the month I used these is the first month I've managed to conceive.

They were also very helpful in alerting me to the possibility that I was pregnant--when you are pregnant, you can see your LH levels rise steadily day by day until they "surge," (just as if they were indicating ovulation). In this case, though, LH levels are surging because you are pregnant.

Unclear result

I bought several of these and recently used them 5 days before ovulation in conjunction with Fertile Focus (which I think is a great ovulation predictor) and a BB thermometer, to double check/confirm ovulation. 5 days before it showed 2 lines, but fertile focus was not confirming ovulation and my temperature was not rising, I was a bit confused on whether I was close to ovulation or not. I continued to check for the next few days, the color of the lines never changed (the 2nd line was always there but a tiny bit faint) while fertile focused clearly showed ovulation as the day got closer, and five days later my temperature confirmed it. My point is, I never got a clear "yay" or "nay" from this product.

Well, I am about to try my second month with this product. The first month, I believe the test correctly told me when I would ovulate. BUT, I did not get pregnant, so I was disappointed. My 'window' opened again today. Fingers crossed!

This worked great. My cycle is irregular and I wasn't sure if I was even ovulating after I got my Mirena taken out. I ordered some of these and tried taking the test as the directions said. Within 3 days of when it said to start testing, it appeared that the lines matched and I was ovulating. Then I took another one the next day, and the test line was so bright and evident that I was ovulating. I am happy to say that I am now 5 weeks preganant! Worked amazing!

Not bad. It will of course splatter sometimes, so I prefer to use an old plastic cup & just dip it in there. Also - you should definitely take advantage of the photo gallery of positive ovulation & pregnancy tests. It helped me discern if a test truly was positive or I just wanted it to be positive soo bad that I was seeing things :) I'm not pregnant yet but I will continue to use these tests to help predict ovulation & hopefully conceive soon! The LH Surge line does not get as bold as the first line so if i hadn't tested again with Clear blue I wouldn't have know i was ovulating. The test was not effective and i will not order them again.

These were great. I used them while also charting my basal body temperature. It was my first time using either and it helped me pinpoint when exactly I ovulated. First time using and I got pregnant that month after trying for 5 months before, so I would say definitely effective.

Easy to use product

I like the mid stream much better than the urine-dip format. No need to mess with disposible cups. I never really got the "full" dark, positive line. So that was a little confusing--but it worked, cause I'm 5 weeks pregnant!

Pros:

Inexpensive

Cons:

Timing can be difficult
Never really got a true positive

My husband and i just started ttc this month. I was looking for something to pinpoint my ovulation and came across this website. I bought 10 tests to see if they work and tested twice a day(about 2pm and 8pm) The first two days the line was light but each after the line got darker until the test line was darker than the control and i got a + day 10 of my cycle. Now im just waiting on my BFP!! Wish me luck!!!

It took me four months of ovulation testing to get pregnant. First two I used store bought Clear Blue Easy ovulation test sticks. Then I bought these from Early Pregnancy Tests.com because I wanted something cheaper. After two months, I was pregnant! The results of these sticks are accurate and easy to read. I highly recommend them! I am now 12 weeks pregnant. :)

I received the tests just 3 days after ordering. We have been trying to conceive for 6 months. I used the ovulation test for the first time and discovered I was ovulating 2 days later then I thought! I just took a pregnancy test and found out I am pregnant after using the ovulation test for the 1st time. I would highly recommend using them!

We were TTC for several months. My cycle various from 30 - 35 days so it's really hard to pinpoint when I ovulate. Finally I decided it was time try the ovulation tests. I started using them mid-month, testing twice a day per a recommendation from a review I read here. It took 11 days to finally see a positive; which made me think that in previous months we had been trying too soon. Now we're just waiting to see if this all worked. Great product and I'm glad I found this website!!

Super easy to use and guess what?! Yup, I am pregnant after only two tests. I had ordered more just in case but I dont think I will end up needing them. I love this website. Great prices. My OBGYN said I should try the Ovulation tests but I did not want to spend the money at the retail stores and I wasnt sure how many I would need. This product was wonderful with clear instructions. This would be our second child. I had not gotten pregnant in over two years since our son was born and we never used protection. I tested on a tuesday evening and no LH levels were detected and then on thursday evening (mid -cycle) LH levels were detected. So my husband and I had intercourse that evening and the next morning. Guess it worked because i missed my period and tested positive for pregnancy!

I charted during my first cycle TTC and was still not sure when I ovulated, so I had bought a fertility monitor online (from another vendor) to help us conceive. The fertility monitor came too late to start using in my second cycle, so upon the suggestion of a friend, I came here to buy OPK's. The OPK's arrived in 3 days time (free shipping option), and test instructions were clear and easy to use. The tests are pretty sensitive, so I even got an almost positive (where line is almost as dark as control line) which gave me a little advance warning. The real positive the next day was clear and unmistakable. The best positive ofcourse was the positve pregnancy test I got two weeks later. Thanks early-pregnancy-tests.com, for helping me get my BFP and saving me $200!
P.S. I was able to return my fertility monitor to the vendor and get a refund for the $200 it cost me.

I purchased 16 ovulation tests and they arrived in 3 days. I tested twice a day to make sure I didn't miss my surge (around 2pm and around 8pm) The first two days I got no line and each day after the line got darker and darker until the test line was darker than the control!! I got this result on my 8pm test so that shows the importance of testing twice a day!! I paid the same amount for 16 tests that I would for 7 in the store!!!

I bought several test to try and pointpoint when I ovulated. Enough to go from the end of my period until the beginning of the next one. I got no positive results. So...either there's something wrong with the tests, or something wrong with me. Most likely the latter.

I ordered these test last year to help us conceive our first child - who just turned 6 months. These tests worked great and helped us conceive after only 4 months of trying. It helped that my cycle was regular so I knew when to start testing. I am back on here again ordering more tests as we would like to conceive again soon! Good luck and it just takes some time to conceive even if you are doing all the right things and hit the time you ovulate. Again it took us at least 4-5 cycles to get there.

Ovulation Midstream Test

Ordering was really easy and I got it within 3 days. The only thing is when you are using it you have to cover the test window because if urnine gets on it it will give you an error. I wasted 5 tests because I didn't know that and It doesn't say on the insturctions.

I was using clearblue easy but both boxes I bought I would get no reading on half the sticks in the box, it was just blank. These look almost the same and I havent had the same problem. My order arrived within 3 days, which is fast for not paying any shipping.
