Mothers Lounge was founded in 2005 by Utah mom Jenny Pierce. With her first child, Jenny struggled with breastfeeding, especially keeping track of which side she had last nursed and how long her baby had last nursed. Being sleep-deprived and new to breastfeeding didn't make it any easier. When she was pregnant with her second child, she realized she wasn't looking forward to breastfeeding again. After her sister-in-law called her with breastfeeding frustrations of her own, Jenny knew she wasn't alone in needing a nursing aid. To help her sister-in-law continue breastfeeding, and to make it easier for other new moms, too, Jenny created Milk Bands in 2005. She and her husband are now raising four children and continuing to develop new brands of products, including The Belly Button Maternity Bands, to make life easier for pregnant and new mothers.
