Stay Fresh with IsoFresh Balancing Vaginal Gel!
If you are like the rest of us, you sometimes experience unwanted feminine odor. Many of your regular activities – monthly periods, exercise, and making love – can increase your vaginal pH, leading to an imbalance in your vaginal ecosystem, which can produce unwanted feminine odors and a desire to feel more fresh.
IsoFresh Balancing Vaginal Gel is the first isotonic and paraben-free vaginal balancing gel available – a pure, simple and safe natural douche alternative, designed to work from the inside out to naturally minimize odor and support optimal vaginal pH balance.
Condition, freshen and balance your vaginal ecosystem with IsoFresh Balancing Vaginal Gel!
IsoFresh is Isotonic – the GOLD Standard for Matching Vaginal Tissue!
IsoFresh provides safe, gentle odor control because it is isotonic to vaginal tissues. That’s great, but what does isotonic mean? IsoFresh has a salt concentration that matches the salt concentration of vaginal cells. Other commercially available freshening gels and douches are hypotonic or hypertonic (with too low or too high of a salt concentration relative to vaginal tissues), and cause water to be sucked out, or pushed into, the vaginal cells. This forced movement of water changes vaginal cell shape and biology, leading to irritation, tissue damage and disruptions of the vaginal ecosystem. Unlike these other products, IsoFresh won’t pull or push water in or out of vaginal cells. Instead, IsoFresh rehydrates your vaginal tissues to a normal, healthy level, and helps to maintain the integrity and health of your vaginal cell structure and ecosystem. IsoFresh provides safe and effective freshening!
Why Choose a Douche Alternative?
Although doctors advise against douching, many women still feel the urge to get that “clean” feeling. Washing out your vaginal mucus “armor”, however, results in 5-8 times higher HIV and STD infection rates. Without mucus protection, cells in the vagina can become infected by the HIV virus within 15 minutes of exposure. (Shen et al., 2011). The National Institutes of Health warns women against douching because of increased risk of cancer, infection, and infertility in women who douche. IsoFresh is a pure, simple, and safe natural douche alternative with ingredients to support self-cleaning. Don’t Wash Your Vagina – help your vagina wash itself.
Can I Use IsoFresh While I am Trying to Conceive?
IsoFresh Balancing Gel is helpful to women who are trying to conceive. The increased exposure to semen during the fertile period can tax the vagina’s self-cleaning and balancing mechanisms. If your vaginal ecosystem is healthy, chances are it can regain pH balance back to a low acidic pH (~4 pH) on its own. But anything that disrupts our hormone system (PCOS, medications, stress, toxins, smoking, and weight changes) can make it harder for the vaginal ecosystem to bounce back. Constant exposure to a neutral pH (~7 pH) can eventually overwhelm the acidic environment and lead to unwanted feminine odors and vaginal infections. IsoFresh gives the vagina extra help to attain a healthy pH level between fertile periods so you can move forward on your journey to conception and a healthy pregnancy. And, remember, as you approach ovulation, the pH of your vagina naturally increases due to the production of fertile quality cervical fluid, which has a pH of close to 7. IsoFresh should not be used during your fertile window, the 4 or 5 days immediately preceding ovulation.
How Does IsoFresh Work?
A healthy vaginal ecosystem maintains a pH of 4-4.5. Throughout your monthly cycle, your vagina will come into contact with body fluids with a much higher pH. For example, semen, menstrual blood, and fertile quality cervical fluid (the mucus you produce during ovulation) all have typical pH levels around 7. If you have a healthy vaginal ecosystem, your vagina can self-clean and maintain a pH of 4-4.5, despite encountering these higher pH fluids.
But, when your typical vaginal pH is off kilter, the wrong kind of bacteria take up residence and flourish in the vagina. For some women, this imbalance can result in bacterial vaginosis or yeast infections. These bacteria can release the embarrassing fishy smell when the vagina is exposed to one of the higher pH fluids mentioned. It becomes clear that solving for odor control must not disrupt the vaginal ecosystem and its ability to self-clean or a woman will end up in a recurring cycle of problems. Unfortunately, douches and other freshening gels contain parabens and other harsh chemicals, and can end up doing more harm than good.
IsoFresh Balancing Vaginal Gel uses a natural buffering system to bring the vaginal pH back into a healthy range after exposure to higher pH fluids – without doing harm to the vaginal ecosystem in the process.
All of the Good Stuff, None of the Bad
With IsoFresh, you don’t have to worry about doing more harm than good. Unlike other freshening products that contain chemicals such as parabens, glycerol and oils that can cause tissue irritation, IsoFresh contains no oils, no glycerin, no hormones, and no parabens.
Also, Isofresh is unique for being 100% isotonic, so it keeps your vaginal cells properly hydrated and preserves cell structure and function. Other freshening products and douches are hypertonic or hypotonic, meaning they pull water out, or push water into, vaginal cells, which results in damage to cell structures and impacts cellular function, and causes tissue irritation.
IsoFresh, the first isotonic and paraben-free freshening gel, provides the safest, gentlest odor control available.
IsoFresh is a water-based formulation, containing:
- Lactic acid , a naturally occurring acid produced by friendly bacteria living in the vagina, helps maintain the pH of the vaginal ecosystem at around 4.
- Sodium lactate is the sodium salt of lactic acid, which elps to lower the pH of the vagina and also helps to ensure that IsoFresh is 100% isotonic.
- Sodium chloride is salt – just like the salt you use on your food. It is included in IsoFresh to ensure that IsoFresh is 100% isotonic.
- Xylose is a sugar that provides fuel for healthy bacteria. The xylose in IsoFresh is derived from raspberries.
- Sodium hydroxide is a pH buffering agent, used to ensure that the pH of IsoFresh is about 4 – the same pH as a healthy vaginal ecosystem.
- Clary sage oil : Clary sage is a natural antibacterial – this helps to preserve the product naturally, meaning that IsoFresh does not require harsh chemical preservatives like parabens.
- Phenethyl alcohol and caprylyl glycol are natural preservatives derived from roses.
How Often Should I Use IsoFresh?
Each application last up to 3 days. Use IsoFresh every three days or so, or anytime you want to feel more confident about your vaginal freshness.
What to expect when using IsoFresh?
A healthy vagina “self-cleans” by exfoliating old cells and bad bacteria. Because IsoFresh supports your vagina’s “self-cleaning” and rebalancing mechanisms, some women see an odorless, white discharge (looks a bit like wet toilet paper) up to 24 hours after application. This discharge is made up of exfoliated cells and is expected and normal, and the quantity of discharge you see following each application of IsoFresh will decreases with regular use of the product.
Isn’t my vagina supposed to clean itself?
Yes, your vagina is designed to self-clean, but it can only do so when your vaginal ecosystem is healthy, with a pH in the correct range of 4-5. A variety of things can disrupt your vaginal pH, including your menstrual period, sweating, and sexual intercourse, and douching just makes matters worse by stripping away the protective mucus barrier and good bacteria that keep our vaginal ecosystem healthy – all of which can cause unwanted odor and a desire to feel more fresh. IsoFresh works with the vagina to support self-cleaning and eliminate the root causes of unwanted odor.

I was sent this product for free to review. I was excited to try it since it’s all natural. The product smelled like roses to me. I used the minimum amount suggested. I didnt feel any leakage of or negative effects after use. 24 hours after the first application I noticed I had a discharge that came out. It resembled the symptoms of a yeast infection without the burning or itching. The discharge was white and lumpy and I also noticed a not so nice smell to the discharge. The discharge continued all that day. The next day all of it was gone. Maybe that was the product cleaning me out? Who knows. I have not tried the product again after the first use but I’d be willing to try it again.

Hi Brittany,
Thanks for your feedback! To clarify the discharge you experienced, after use of IsoFresh, your healthy vaginal pH returns. This in turn helps get rid of odor as the vaginal lining exfoliates, taking away the higher pH bacteria that were causing odors. This is seen as white tissue clumps that can last about a day. Typically, the more you use IsoFresh the less dramatic this exfoliation is.
Hope this helps to clarify!
