Is There Clinical Data Supporting Preconception Products?
Back to Preconception Question
and Answer
Yes, in all cases diagnostic
tests for pregnancy or ovulation do require complete clinical support for various
approvals and certification marks (e.g., FDA-Approval, CE Marking, ISO standardization,
etc). The accuracy of various diagnostic kits have been established in the laboratory
under clinical guidelines. Our testing products are over 99% accurate if used
properly (as instructed by the manufacturer). This means observing all testing
procedures as well as interpretive guidelines.
While non-prescription dietary
supplements/vitamins do not require FDA-Approval or extensive clinical research,
many of our products have been subjected to such research. Most recently, the
male fertility supplement, FertilAid for Men, underwent an independent, double-blind,
placebo-controlled clinical study with impressive results for improved sperm
health and motility. To read more about the FertilAid
for Men study, please click here.
Other products like Fertility Blend have also been used in research and are
based on wide breadth of independent data focusing on a spectrum of individual
ingredients. Our selection of preconception/pregnancy supplements and teas reflect
top-tier products and brands - formulated by fertility doctors and reproductive
experts.
Other preconception goods
or diagnostic kits - for example, FertilMarq, Pre-Seed lubricant, the ClearBlue
Monitor, or even Ovusoft software, are supported by clinical research or have
received various regulatory approvals. Products like basal thermometers do not
require clinical testing, though use of a bbt chart/thermometer via fertility
charting has certainly been verified by countless studies over the past several
decades. Nearly all reproductive specialists advise fertility charting as a
means to become pregnant.
