 Mixed Review By Rachel from Indianapolis, Indiana on December 28, 2011 My husband has been taking the FertilAid for Men for several months now and while it initially made him incredibly sick to his stomach, he finally seems to have adjusted to it. I can't honestly answer as to whether it has been beneficial, because we've yet to have a semen analysis, so I have no basis for comparison. I just started taking the FertilAid for Women and so far, have been less than impressed. First of all, I've been EXHAUSTED...to the point that it's all I can do to get out of bed! I also experience frequent waves of nausea--even if I take them with food. My cycles have always been somewhat irregular, but I'm currently on Day 42 (6 days longer than my last few cycles) and am wondering if/when I will start my period?!? My body just feels completely out of whack--I'm definitely not experiencing this "energy boost" that many have referred to. I will continue on the FertilAid for Women for at least another 6 weeks and hopefully I'll be able to update my review with some positive news--whether it be a positive pregnancy test (by some miracle) or at least some regulation in my cycle. My husband will also continue taking the FertilAid for Men for another 6 weeks, but I highly doubt that we'll re-order unless I see some changes in the near future (or start feeling better). I don't necessarily know that the FertilAid for Men is worth the money--for all I know, it would be just as beneficial to take a variety of over-the-counter vitamins. Hopefully I'll have a more positive outlook soon, but I wanted to share my experience thus far. Being in our 40s we thought it would be essential to add this supplement to the first trial in getting pregnant through our 8 y relationship. He's only taken a bottle and I've been taking for almost two months prenatal vitamins. Those, in combination with the ovulation test - it seems like we will have the results soon. However, even if the pregnancy test showed positive, we would not know for sure whether the men's FertilAid had worked a miracle.Cons:Huge daily doseMust be taken with food or otherwise it causes nausea and dizziness. For people whose daily routine includes less than three meals, it is too hard to maintain this new food regimen. Weight is affected almost immediately. We got pregnant the first month using these vitamins! I do feel it may have given us an edge. Only 1 drawback-Hubby says the vitamins would give him a bad stomache ache after taking one. These fertility aids were our last resort before trying the expensive doctors ect... I had no idea they would work so fast and well. My doc. put me on clomid and I got pregnant on the second cycle but then had a miscarriage after 3-4 weeks. Before going on my 4th cycle with clomid (100 mg), I decided to try fertilaid first. I got my period within 2 weeks of taking it without having to take provera! And the great thing about it is that I believe the vitamins also helped get rid of my hot flashes which I've been having for the last 2 years! I read on the instructions not to use this with clomid, so as soon as I got my period, I stopped using the vitamins and took clomid on Day 3 of my cycle for five days. Anyway, I just took a pregnancy test today and found out I'm pregnant! I'm not sure if it's just clomid or also because of the vitamins or a combination. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who has been trying to get pregnant! My husband had morphology issues but sperm count was great. I have irregular periods. On FertilAid I ovulated later than usual the first month and then progressively earlier. We did not have my husbands sperm re-analyzed BUT something worked because after 3.5 months of taking it we are pregnant. Started July 27th and we are almost done our first bottle. I do have irregular periods and my husband was told by the doc after being tested that he has a low sperm count and motility. the first month I felt like I was ovulating and clearly had the gooey stuff "". but turns out after the 2 week wait that it was nothing. Neg preg test. So now, We are going to take another monhs worth and I have not had my period since July 22 :( I dont know when I will get it but had lots of cramping about a week and a half ago thinking that was it but nothing... This product started to show results in 3 months and it shortened my cycle for 36 days for two cycles .As i started gaining confidence on the product,the third cycle was again whacky with 54 days length.Now i am beginning to doubt if my cycles are so hormone imbalanced that even vitex in fertilaid couldn't help!
