I haven't had much CM of the quality for conception. This product markedly increased the amount and quality of CM. We had been trying for several months and I've kept pretty careful records. On the 5th month I bought FertilAid, FertileCM, and a combo pack of ovulation/pregnancy test strips. The ovulation test strips helped me to pinpoint ovulation (and convinced me that any trouble I had conceiving haven't been due to missed ovulation). CM was also excellent at ovulation. We tried, and I just got a positive result on my pregnancy test! I should give a nod also to FertilAid, which I also used, but this product was the one that made a marked difference.Within a day or two of taking this product, I did notice increased mucus (CM, and in general) and a "cotton mouth" sensation (which answered my question why all the comments on this product recommended drinking water). At ovulation I was pretty sure that we were on the right path. I've waited to post until I could confirm pregnancy. Great product. Around mid-cycle (during ovulation) I didn't notice any increase in the amount of CM. However by the end of my cycle- around 31 days I began to notice a considerable increase in the amount of CM. From my experience, it would seem a couple months of taking the supplement would be needed to see the increase around the optimal time for conception. Also while it didn't keep me from taking the pills, they do have a pretty icky (sulfur-like) smell. I stared to see a specialist and I was on my second month of Clomid and the doctor had doubled my dose. B/c I knew that Clomid can make your CM hostile, I decided to try this product. I did notice a difference, where as prior we were using preseed, I no longer needed this. I had a post-cotial exam and the Clomid had in fact impaired my CM, but the doctor said that my CM looked very good and I was still in the "adequate zone” I continued to take this and I also took Guaifenesin (Robitussin) on the ovulation days. I was given a 10% chance of conception from the specialist for this cycle, but I did finally get my positive PG test!!!! I feel that this product definitely had a hand in getting the +. I could tell my CM was thinned and healthier and I had only a slight increase in the amount, but I believe it was a much better quality while on this product, and the sperm as able to move around more freely. I have always ovulated on time, like clockwork, and I even get the telltale "tiny red dot" always only on my peak ovulating day, or right b4. I started taking this product shortly after my period, and the first month on it I did not ovulate! I am also using the ovulation test strips. I not only had no "red dot" that month, but also did not have any ovulating hormones. The following month, still on it, although I had typical ovulation symptoms, my ovulation hormones still tested so low you could barely see them on the strip. To top it off, I got monster periods both cycles I had taken it, which makes sense if when reading the info on the bottle it tells you that when you do conceive, your baby will have a very good source of nutrition in the womb, because this stuff helps to build that. Well, that must mean you have thicker, worse periods if you don't conceive, as all that stuff has to shed if you don't get pregnant! That's what it seems like must have happened for me. Worst periods of my life! After I went off of it, my ovulation finally returned to normal in about 2 months. Which I'm thankful for, but that's valuable time lost. And, I'm still getting crazy periods! I would not recommend this stuff to anyone, and I really think they need to do further testing on this product. Looking through the reviews more closely I found another person that had a similar experience, with not ovulating while on it. I know variables can vary, but for me this was the only thing I did differently. The first month on it, I did not notice any increase in CM. During my second ovulation while taking this product, I did notice a huge increase in my CM, but I did not get pregnant, and question as to whether I even ovulated that month bc of the weak test strip results as I mentioned. Anyway, yes, it seems that during the 2nd month on it you will see dramatic increased CM, but I do not think it's worth it. Because the most important thing to making a baby is ovulating, and if this stuff prevents that in any way, what's the point? Plus am I now going to have horrible heavy periods forever? I'm happy for those who have had a good experience with it, but please, buyer beware! Pros:It does increase CM dramatically after 2nd month. But the risks outweigh the pros in my opinion.Cons:I ovulate normally - I did not ovulate while taking this product.It severely increased the flow and amount of my periods to the point of being ridiculous. I didn't notice any egg white yet, or an abundance. I've started drinking more water after I take them too. you have to do that, or it seems like your cm you already have dries up:) I did ovulate this month, and I am waiting to see if I am pregnant! I also am taking the fertilaid for women 3 x a day too to make my body more healthy. I have already went to my Dr., and had a preconception exam done, and blood work, and it came back that my hormone levels are normal, so I am able to conceive. I had 2 miscarriages in this past, and I strongly feel, that I will conceive again soon! My husband want a baby or babies real bad! i ordered him the fertilaid for men, and he doesn't like taking any vitamins!:) ; especially 3x aday, but he does it because he wants a child sooo bad! I did notice a lot more CM than usual. I hadn't seen that much CM since the first month I came off the pill (Feb 2010).
